Equipment inspection O Jol ONK 2018 Loosdrecht, The Netherlands

Before and during the ONK 2018 there will be Equipment Inspections. All competitors are obliged to cooperate with those equipment inspections.

Among other things the following will be subject to the equipment inspection.

For all competing boats:

• Sails: all competitors need to present maximum two mainsails with which they will compete; headboard will be inspected as well;
• Correction weights; are those present, placed correctly and eventually marked;
• Beams:  especially are stoppers;
• Marking(s) on mast;
• Rudder: is it possible to operate it and its profile;
• Safety equipment such as life vest, paddle, lifeline / dock line

Furthermore, approximately  10 to maximum 15 boats are selected ad-random and be subject to additional inspections of either

• Mainsail especially ½ and ¾ measuring point,

or

• Centre board, position under the boat (17-degree rule) and thickness;

In case deviations from the official class rules (IOU 2012 – German edition) are observed and no corrections have been made afterwards, the technical committee will be obliged to protest against the boat in accordance with article 78.1.

All competitors are requested to present themselves on Thursday 7th September and their boat (and the official measuring report) on time to allow for smooth operations; in case a competitor intends to arrive on Friday 8th September he/ she is kindly requested to advise in advance the equipment inspectors (mail n.molenaar@planet.nl and info@dedeining.nl).
